Where’s The Red Carpet?

The other day, I got a nice surprise from our very own Queen Of All Trivia…Madge. She gave me not one…but two…awards. And some homework. Because I don’t have enough to do around here.

The first award is the Versatile Blogger award. It gets straight to the point. It lets you know right upfront about how versatile I am.

Which means, according to my WordPress “lookup” button skills, I can do many things competently…or I am variable…or I have varied uses…or serve many functions. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that truer words were never spoken. I mean written. You know what I meant.

The second award is for being a Stylish Blogger. Obviously…we are talking about my blog itself being stylish…not about me being stylish. Because when she gave me the award, I was wearing Old Navy pajama pants and a t-shirt.

You can imagine how embarrassed I would’ve been if the award was for me being stylish. But don’t you dare judge me. It’s not like you’re all sitting there in designer gowns and tuxes every minute of the day.

So now I must do my homework assignments. According to Madge…first, I need to thank her and link back to her site. She might have just made that part up but I’m gonna go ahead and do it anyway because she’s awesome. Thank you, Madge!

Next, I have to tell seven things about myself. Great. Are there even seven things to tell about myself? It took me a few minutes…but here you go:

1. I can beat anyone in a water balloon fight. Unless you have a super soaker…which is a clear violation of the water balloon fight rules anyway, cheater.

2. I am fluent in legalese.

3. My favorite scents at Yankee Candle are almost all food related.

4. I cannot juggle.

5. I do not get hungry again thirty minutes after eating Chinese food.

6. I have an abundant supply of post-it notes…even though I rarely use them.

7. My favorite color is green.

Fascinating…I know. For the next step, I must share the love with some other bloggers. The instructions Madge has are to award it to 10-15 others. But I’ve seen the number 5 a few places elsewhere so I’m gonna go with the middle number…10.

Since it’s apparently award season, some of these people may have already received one or both of these awards. But, I figure nobody complains about getting a whole bunch of Oscars or Grammy Awards…so why should they complain about getting too many of these?

So please give a big round of applause for the following award recipients:

Finally, I had to contact the winners to tell them about their awards. Homework complete.

Except…I also want to announce that I will be giving out my own awards soon…with a red carpet and everything. And you don’t even have to be a blogger. Because my awards will be based on your blog comments, facebook comments, and/or tweets. Stay tuned!
